Online therapy offers incredible scheduling and location flexibility, and if you hate traffic as much as I do, the lack of driving is amazing. For most people who try it, virtual therapy is as effective as in-person therapy.

The first visit

There are three key goals of the first visit: Getting to know each other, information on the reasons you are seeking therapy, and understanding your goals for therapy. Then I start considering what therapy approaches to take to help you reach those goals.

Subsequent sessions

Later sessions are focused on achieving those initial goals of therapy. That might mean five sessions, it might mean fifteen. It depends on the issues and goals. We will check in periodically to make sure we are making meaningful progress, and make adjustments as needed.
